I recorded this album after driving cross country during the height of the 2020 covid lockdown; what a long, strange trip indeed. Each track was inspired by a point along the way – a place and time that stood out from the empty monotony of the road to become a memory.

Perhaps the moment that best exemplifies the trip was our landing in Memphis on New Year's Eve. We went out that night in search of some music, some celebration, but there was absolutely no one on the street. Nothing. it was haunting to stand there in the middle of the street, right out front of my idol, BB King's club, and not see another soul.

This album is the dark side of the journey. Head down, moving fast, not a lot to see, more an internal trip than external. I hope the music speaks to you.
